3 April 2024 – Adani Green Energy (AGEL) achieves a remarkable feat by becoming the first company in India to surpass the 10,000 MW mark in its operational renewable energy portfolio. With a diverse mix of solar, wind, and hybrid capacities, AGEL’s milestone signifies a significant stride towards a sustainable energy future.

AGEL’s operating portfolio, comprising 10,934 MW of renewable energy capacity, underscores its commitment to driving India’s clean energy transition. Gautam Adani, Chairman of Adani Group, expresses pride in AGEL’s achievement, emphasizing the company’s pivotal role in India’s renewable space.

The company’s portfolio includes 7,393 MW of solar, 1,401 MW of wind, and 2,140 MW of wind-solar hybrid capacity, poised to power millions of homes while mitigating carbon emissions. AGEL’s ambitious target of reaching 45,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 underscores its commitment to sustainable growth.

Gautam Adani lauds AGEL’s rapid expansion, citing the company’s vision and execution prowess in realizing a greener future. AGEL’s plans for the world’s largest renewable energy project in Khavda, Gujarat, exemplify its dedication to setting global benchmarks and redefining industry standards.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, AGEL prioritizes sustainable practices across its operations, including certification as ‘single-use plastic free’ and ‘water positive’ for plants. The company’s emphasis on sustainability extends to job creation, with over 3,200 direct jobs generated.
