23rd April 2024 – The first venture studio in Bangladesh, Turtle Venture Studio, had its maiden Demo Day in Singapore on April 18. This was the first time a Bangladeshi accelerator had organized an event like this overseas to present the firms in its portfolio.
Seventy-three people from 34 organizations attended the SPECTRUM Global Demo Day, mostly investors and venture capitalists from South and Southeast Asia, showing a strong interest in Bangladesh’s startup scene.
Seven businesses from Turtle’s first cohort, namely Fit 360, Drutoloan, Shunboi, InsureCow, Inkam, and Chhaya, stole the show with their creative pitches for finance, insure tech, digital distribution, health tech, and stream tech.
Conclusion
During the demo day, the entrepreneurs showcased their distinctive value proposition to potential partners and investors. Following the presentations, a networking session enabled entrepreneurs to talk with participants in more detail about possible collaborations.
