30 March 2024 – A recent incident involving a Flipkart customer in Ghaziabad has raised concerns about online shopping. Instead of the mobile phone worth Rs 22,548 ordered by the customer, stones were delivered. The incident has sparked discussions about the reliability of e-commerce platforms and customer service.
The customer took to social media, specifically X (formerly Twitter), to express their frustration and share images of the received stones. In response, Flipkart issued a statement urging customers to avoid engaging with fake social media accounts. However, this isn’t an isolated case, as several users commented on the post, recounting similar experiences of receiving incorrect products from Flipkart. Despite the platform’s reassurances, some users expressed dissatisfaction with Flipkart’s handling of the situation, claiming that the company failed to facilitate returns for wrongly delivered items. This incident follows a similar occurrence earlier this month, where another Flipkart customer received a different mobile phone model than the one ordered.
