27 March 2024 – Intel has introduced the AI PC Acceleration Program, unveiling two key initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration and innovation within the software and hardware ecosystem. The AI PC Developer Program and the integration of Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) into the program signify significant progress towards advancing AI technologies on personal computers.
Under the AI PC Acceleration Program, Intel has launched the AI PC Developer Program, catering specifically to software developers and independent software vendors (ISVs). This initiative aims to streamline the developer experience by providing a comprehensive suite of tools, workflows, and AI-deployment frameworks. Featuring the latest Intel hardware, including the Intel Core Ultra processor, the program empowers developers to leverage AI technologies effectively and accelerate the development of new use cases.
The AI PC Developer Program offers access to developer kits, documentation, and training materials through updated developer resource pages. These resources serve as a centralized hub for developers to optimize the performance of AI and machine learning (ML) applications on Intel Core Ultra processor technologies.
Moreover, the inclusion of Independent Hardware Vendors (IHVs) in the AI PC Acceleration Program enables IHVs to prepare and optimize their hardware for Intel AI PCs. Qualified partners gain access to Intel’s Open Labs, receiving early technical support and co-engineering assistance for their hardware solutions. Intel also provides reference hardware to facilitate testing and optimization, ensuring efficient performance upon launch.
Matt King, senior director of Client Hardware Ecosystem at Intel, expressed excitement about the expansion, highlighting the collaboration with 150 hardware vendors worldwide. By scaling innovative hardware and software solutions, Intel aims to enhance the AI PC experience for developers and users alike.
