MS Dhoni funds e-bike company EMotorad

16 April 2024 – Indian cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni has made an unknown financial investment in EMotorad, a manufacturer of electric bikes.

In addition to his new position as the company’s brand spokesperson, Dhoni would get stock ownership in EMotorad as a result of the strategic investment, creator and CEO Kunal Gupta told ET on Monday. The Pune-based company EMotorad has joined an increasing number of businesses that the former Indian captain has funded over the years. These include the used car dealer Cars24 in Gurugram, the digital lending platform Khatabook, and the fitness firm Tagda Raho, located in Bengaluru.

“We are the ones holding the future.” Today, creativity is a major factor in creating sustainable solutions, and Dhoni expressed his admiration for modern businesses that create these in a statement. EMotorad, which was founded in 2020 by Gupta, Rajib Gangopadhyay, Aditya Oza, and Sumedh Battewar, claimed to have 65% of the Indian e-cycle market.

Conclusion

According to Gupta, ET, Dhoni’s affiliation with the brand will increase the e-bike market’s visibility and credibility. “As an enthusiastic rider himself, Dhoni embodies everything our brand stands for and is the most trustworthy person there is.
