OZi Raises $3.3 Million to Build India’s Baby-Care Quick Commerce Brand

Delhi NCR-based baby care startup OZi has raised $3.3 million (around ₹27 crore) in a seed funding round led by Blume Ventures.

Other investors like Huddle Ventures, Zeropearl VC, Untitled, and well-known angel investors such as Abhinav Sinha (OYO), Gaurav Ajmera (ex-Zomato), and Dhyanesh Shah (Pharmeasy) also joined the round.

This fresh funding will help OZi expand to new cities, add more baby products, and deliver faster to young parents across India.

What is OZi?

OZi is a baby care quick commerce platform — that means, it delivers all baby essentials like diapers, wipes, baby food, milk, toys, clothes, and medicines in just 30 minutes.

Founded by Amit Sah (who earlier worked at OYO and Ola), OZi wants to make parenting easier by ensuring that baby products reach parents quickly, reliably, and safely.

The app is available on both Android and iOS, and currently serves Delhi NCR, with plans to expand soon to Bangalore, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Why OZi is Different

OZi is focusing only on the baby care category — unlike other big players like Zepto or Blinkit that sell everything.
By staying focused, OZi can:

  • Ensure faster delivery (since all warehouses stock only baby products)
  • Maintain better quality and hygiene
  • Offer personalised suggestions to parents
  • Build strong trust in a very sensitive category

This idea is called vertical quick commerce — where one brand focuses on just one category but does it really well.

What the Founder Says

According to Amit Sah, “Parents don’t have time to wait when it comes to their babies. If you run out of diapers or baby food, you need it now — not tomorrow. That’s the gap OZi wants to fill.”

He added that the company’s goal is to become India’s most trusted baby brand, built around speed, safety, and care.\

Why Investors are Excited

Investors like Blume Ventures believe that the baby-care market in India is huge and growing fast.
Every month, millions of new parents buy baby essentials — and many of them are ready to pay extra for quick delivery and reliable products.

Blume said in their note that baby-care is a high-repeat category — parents buy the same products again and again, which makes it perfect for a quick commerce model.

OZi’s Growth Plan

With this new funding, OZi will:

  • Open new dark stores (mini warehouses) in other cities
  • Add more baby products and exclusive brands
  • Build stronger logistics and technology to keep deliveries under 30 minutes
  • Focus on customer care and safety standards

The Bigger Picture

India’s quick commerce market is booming. But while most platforms compete in groceries or snacks, OZi is focusing on a very emotional and important need — baby care.

If executed well, OZi could soon become a household name for young parents — just like how Zepto changed how we buy groceries.
