Sri Sri University Innovation Foundation Partners with FSID to Boost India's Startup Ecosystem

18 April 2024 — The Sri Sri University Innovation Foundation, an incubation center of Sri Sri University, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Foundation For Science, Innovation And Development (FSID) to enhance India’s startup ecosystem.

This collaboration aims to drive the ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative and create employment opportunities, especially for the unemployed and farmers across the country.

Sri Sri University has already incubated and supported 136 startups, generating a combined turnover of Rs 70 crores, serving over 2.5 million customers, supporting over 20,000 farmers, and creating over 3,000 jobs.

The partnership with FSID, the incubation center of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), will provide crucial support to incubated startups, including mentoring, product development, intellectual property rights (IPR) assistance, industry connections for research and development (R&D), and infrastructure support for events and meetups.

Rajita Kulkarni, President of Sri Sri University, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating that it will strengthen the startup ecosystem and lead to significant positive changes in people’s lives.
