15 April 2024 – Startup company Runaya is targeting $1 billion in sales by FY30 if it meets its goal of reaching a 5 million tonne per year (mtpa) recycling capacity.
Runaya’s CEO and co-founder, Annanya Agarwal, predicted that the firm will generate between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,200 crore in revenue in FY25 when it increases its recycling capacity to 100,000 tonnes. The company’s recycling capacity was 50,000 tonnes, and its sales in FY24 were Rs 500 crore.
Runaya aims to achieve revenues in the range of Rs 2,000-2,200 crore for FY26 after tripling its recycling capacity to 200,000 tonnes. The majority of the capital expenditure for something is already in use. The developments are underway, according to Agarwal.
Conclusion
Nothing was halting the company’s expansion, according to Agarwal, who said, “If you see our track rate in the first week of the current financial year, we are already on track to 100,000 tonnes capacity.” The estimated Rs 700 crore investment needed to reach the 5 mtpa capacity objective would probably be covered by a mix of internal accruals, loans, and partnerships.
