24th April 2024 – With an emphasis on bubble tea and other culinary products, Boba Bhai is a quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand. Titan Capital and Global Growth Capital UK led the company’s seed round, which raised Rs 12.5 crore.
A number of well-known angel investors participated in the round as well, including Arjun Vaidya, DEVC, Warm-up Ventures, Asit Oberoi, 1947 Rise Fund by Shiva Singh Sangwan, Peercheque, Varun Alagh, Mandeep Sodhi, Prabhraj (Simba Beer), FinFirst, Neha Patil, and Abhinav Sinha from Oyo.
The firm said in a news statement that the money would be used for recruiting, expanding the product range, and increasing its presence across India. Since the company’s founding in October 2023, this is the first institutional financing round. With an average purchase amount of Rs 400, the firm claims to have handled over 50,000 monthly transactions in only six months while growing to 25 shops across seven cities: Delhi, Gurugram, Udaipur, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
