According to CEO K Krithivasan, TCS Has One of the Biggest AI-Ready Workforces in The World

17 April 2024 – In an email to staff at the beginning of the new fiscal year, CEO K Krithivasan said that Tata Consultancy Services has one of the biggest and most AI-ready workforces in the world.

 In the email, which ET has seen in copy, Krithivasan expressed gratitude to staff members for their efforts to become knowledgeable about and proficient in AL: “TCS is currently working over 200 engagements in GenAI with our clients and foresees a promising pipeline of future work across all industries,” said Krithivasan, who will take over as TCS’s CEO in June.

In FY24, TCS employees accumulated 5 million competencies and 51 million learning hours. When it released its results, the IT bellwether said that its generative AI pipeline had risen to $900 million.


Conclusion

The impressive results were due to higher production, more efficiency, and fewer subcontracting expenses. In the fourth quarter of a year that saw a sharp decline in the demand for technology services internationally because of geopolitical unrest and financial instability, revenue rose 3.5% to Rs 61,237 crore.
