25th April 2024 – The Alliance of Digital India Foundation (ADIF) and the IIT Guwahati Technology Incubation Centre (IIT Guwahati TIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to foster entrepreneurship and offer assistance to technology firms.
The two-year MOU seeks to boost the startup ecosystem by promoting engagement between ADIF’s network of startups and entrepreneurs and IIT Guwahati’s pool of innovators, academics, and incubation facilities. Prateek Jain, Associate Director at ADIF, said in a statement, “We are thrilled to collaborate with the esteemed IIT Guwahati Technology Incubation Centre to empower early-stage startups through our combined resources and networks.” “This collaboration underscores our shared vision of catalyzing India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
As per the agreement, ADIF will provide alliance membership to the startup firms in IITG TIC’s portfolio, enabling them to use subsidized services, resources, and mentoring opportunities from ADIF’s startup toolkit. Conversely, ADIF members will get help from IITG TIC in the form of networking events, pitching assistance, market connections, mentorship, and acceleration programs.
Conclusion
The partners said that they will collaborate to plan research projects involving students, teachers, and entrepreneurs, startup courses, seminars, and hackathons.
