22 April 2024 – Jammu, April 26 (UNI): On Saturday, the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) of the CSIR Indian Institute Integrative Medicine signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with four promising startups in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was a significant step toward advancing and supporting the innovation ecosystem in the region. Fermentation products and medicinal mushrooms are cultivated by four startups: Mama Agro in Leh, Arsh Mushrooms in Kathua, Gulmarg Mushroom Farms in Baramulla, and Khorasan II-Tech Food Processing in Pulwama.
In his remarks, the Director of CSIR-III said that the twin Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh are endowed with abundant natural resources as well as very intelligent people. With the incubation assistance provided by the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC-IIIM), emerging startups and entrepreneurs in this area have plenty of opportunity to develop and commercialize their goods, he said.
Conclusion
Regarding AIC’s enrollment of startups, Dr. Ahmad expressed great optimism and said that the Molls signing signaled the start of mutually beneficial partnerships that promote innovation, economic growth, and social impact.
