AWS Launches 'AWS Space Accelerator

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced the AWS Space Accelerator: India,’ a 14-week program designed to support space-tech startups in India. In collaboration with T-Hub and Minfy, this initiative aims to provide startups with business resources, technical expertise, and up to $100,000 in AWS credits. Applications are open until March 17, 2024.

Program Details:

  • Duration: The 14-week accelerator program.
  • Support Offered: Dedicated business resources, technology guidance, and mentorship to help startups leverage AWS for development, growth, and scalability.
  • Eligibility: Open to early-stage and mature startups focusing on the space sector.

Application Process:

Interested startups can apply until March 17, 2024, and will be evaluated based on criteria such as uniqueness and innovation, product-market fit, value to space-tech innovation, creative use of AWS technology, and the team’s ability to deliver on the identified opportunity.

Benefits for Qualified Startups:

Selected startups will receive the following:

  • Up to $100,000 in AWS credits.
  • Guidance from ISRO, IN-SPACe, AWS experts, and business/technology support from T-Hub and Minfy.
  • Insights into space domain technologies, leveraging space data, and building scalable solutions using cloud computing, data analytics, and machine learning.

The objective of the Accelerator:

The program aims to address challenges faced by space-tech startups, including capital investment, access to a skilled workforce, and significant technology development and testing. It provides startups with an opportunity to build and test solutions using AWS simulation technologies, allowing rapid experimentation at a low cost.

Collaborative Support:

  • T-Hub will offer insights into business establishment, fundraising strategies, and pitch presentation fine-tuning.
  • Minfy will conduct technical sessions covering AWS knowledge, advanced cloud architecture, aligning with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and securing workloads.
