BeerBiceps YouTube Channels Hacked: Hackers Use Elon Musk’s Name to Promote Crypto Scam

Late Wednesday, YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, famously known as BeerBiceps, became a victim of a serious cyberattack. Both of his popular YouTube channels were hacked, leading to a complete overhaul of their content. Hackers changed the name of his main channel to “Tesla” with the handle “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024″ and renamed his personal channel “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.” Shockingly, all of his original videos, including popular interviews and podcasts, were deleted.

Hackers Replace Content with Old Musk and Trump Streams

The cybercriminals didn’t stop at renaming the channels. They deleted Allahbadia’s original content and replaced it with old videos featuring tech mogul Elon Musk and former U.S. President Donald Trump. Fans were confused as they tuned in expecting Ranveer’s usual mix of fitness, motivation, and celebrity interviews, but were instead greeted by replays of events starring Musk and Trump.

This incident follows a similar hack of the Supreme Court of India’s YouTube channel, raising broader concerns about the safety of high-profile accounts on YouTube.

Elon Musk’s Name Used to Promote Bitcoin Scam

One of the most alarming aspects of this hack was the use of a fake Elon Musk livestream to promote a cryptocurrency scam. Hackers used Musk’s name and likeness to encourage viewers to invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum, falsely promising to double their investment through a website called elonweb.net. This type of scam, known as a “Bitcoin doubling” scheme, has targeted many prominent YouTube channels over the years, preying on unsuspecting viewers.

YouTube Steps In, Removes Both Channels

In response to the hack, YouTube took both of Allahbadia’s channels offline, displaying the message, “This page isn’t available.” Fans searching for BeerBiceps or Ranveer’s personal channel were met with disappointment as they could no longer access any of his content. The situation left many fans frustrated, as they were unable to find updates or any of his popular videos.

Ranveer Responds with Humor on Instagram

While the situation could have been devastating for most creators, Ranveer Allahbadia chose to handle it with humor. Posting to his Instagram stories, he shared a picture of vegan burgers and captioned it, “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food. Vegan burgers. Death of BeerBiceps met with Death of diet.” He also posted a selfie wearing an eye mask, jokingly asking his followers, “Is this the end of my YouTube career? Was nice knowing you all.”

BeerBiceps’ YouTube Success

Ranveer Allahbadia’s rise to fame began with his BeerBiceps YouTube channel, which he started at the age of 22. Over the years, he built a massive following of nearly 12 million subscribers across his two channels. His content, ranging from fitness and motivation to interviews with top celebrities like Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, has made him one of India’s most successful YouTubers.

Will Ranveer Recover?

Despite the setback, Ranveer’s fans remain hopeful that he will recover his channels and continue to create content. However, this hack serves as a reminder to all creators about the importance of securing their digital platforms.
