Bengaluru, renowned as the “Silicon City” and a major IT and semiconductor hub, is on the verge of a major tech expansion. The city is set to introduce 89 new IT parks across 54 sectors within the next few years, significantly enhancing its IT infrastructure and cementing its reputation as a global technology powerhouse.
These new IT parks will be strategically located in prominent areas including Yeshwantpur, Whitefield, Bellandur, Koramangala, and several other key zones. The development, anticipated to be completed within the next two to three years, will provide state-of-the-art facilities designed to accommodate numerous IT firms and tech startups.
Key areas poised for transformation include:
- Yeshwantpur and Whitefield: Expected to host over 10 IT firms each.
- Bellandur: To welcome five new IT companies.
- Tumkur Road: Two new IT firms will establish operations.
- Koramangala: One new IT company.
- Kundalahalli: Three new tech firms.
This substantial influx of IT companies is anticipated to not only enhance Bengaluru’s technological capabilities but also generate thousands of new job opportunities across the city.
In addition to this, the Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) is advancing its plans to develop three self-sufficient townships on the city’s outskirts, which had been on hold for two decades. These townships in Bidadi, Solur near Magadi, and Nandagudi are expected to further bolster Bengaluru’s growth.
