Daakroom

Zindagi age badhne ka dusra naam hai, aur hum kayi chizen piche chod jaate hain, jaise ki ye chithiyan.

Are you feeling nostalgic? Cause I am!

I am sure many will have a childhood memory where the “dakwala” used to get messages for us from our close ones. When we think about it today, I feel we have come a long way.

Texting using WhatsApp, Instagram and many other social platforms has made things a lot easier. But can we deny the essence of handwritten letters? I believe no, it cannot!

To wait for the letter to arrive, thinking about all the things that you want to write and then falling short of words, the feeling cannot be replaced. But today I am happy to share with you about “Daakroom”. A future we all deserve!

What is “Daakroom”?

Research says that writing helps in the cognitive development of children. Not only that it enhances the capability of channeling emotions in adults as well. Many therapists suggest writing down your feelings helps to have a clear and articulated understanding of yourself.

“Daak Room” blooms with this understanding. Writing is a need not a chore! The revolutionary founders aka Daak room ke Daakiye Shivani Mehta (Allahabad) & Harnehmat Kaur (Chandigarh) have come together to build an environment of deep-self development. As roommates during their college days, they used to receive letters from their mothers. But with the coming of smartphones, the demand for letters slowly depleted. To bring back the feeling of connectedness, they both started on their entrepreneurial journey.
