18 April 2024 – Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has extended an invitation to the founders of space tech businesses, including Agnikul Cosmos, Bellatrix Aerospace, Skyroot Aerospace, Dhruva Space, Pixxel, SatSure, and Digantara, to meet with him on Monday in New Delhi.
As part of the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Programme, a delegation of startup CEOs and representatives from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) visited SpaceX’s facilities in Hawthorne, California, last month.”It’s just about showing him what the Indian space ecosystem is up to,” a company entrepreneur told ET. Elon Musk owns more than half of Starlink’s space assets.
According to companies, Musk’s visit will mostly focus on his satellite firm Starlink and electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla. The primary purpose of this trip is to service the Indian market for Tesla via Starlink.
