The Story Behind Gobabygo Rs 22 Crore Revenue

Mr. Akash Ali, who works in Dubai in a reputed company occupying a prominent role, 2021 visited India for his family function in Assam, when he landed in India he tried to book a cab from the airport to his home but was not able to book due to cancelation from driver’s side, after few days he gets to know one man died because he didn’t reach the hospital on time due to lack of transportation facility.

After this incident, Akash decided to leave his well-paid job in Dubai, get back to India permanently, and work for the welfare of people.

The main issue he finds in rural and semi-rural areas like his hometown drivers and passengers not having any platform to connect. Mr. Akash came up with a website named Gobabygo Cabs on 29th October 2021 and got a good response from the people. 6000 drivers joined him and he earned around 22 crore revenue.

However, the Assam government objected that private vehicles should not be used in ride-hailing, either they convert all vehicles into commercial or shut down this business.

Since it is not an easy task to convince all drivers to turn their private vehicles into commercial ones. Mr. Akash requested the government to extend this period so that he could find a solution for the same. The government agreed on this and provided a period as it is for social causes and the benefit of the people.

Akash Ali then moved to Delhi and observed some different issues that drivers and passengers are facing. The two major problems are that drivers frequently cancel the rides, which is problematic for passengers.

Solving the Monopoly in the Market

While drivers are not getting enough payment as they are working hard. However, it is not an easy task to cover the metropolitan cities where other ride-hailing service providers are in this monopoly market.

In August 2023 he opened an office in Delhi and in just a small period of 2 months 5000 vehicles are attached with Gobabygo Cabs. In August 2023, Gobabygo Cabs OPC Pvt. Ltd. Converted into Gobabygo Cabs Pvt. Ltd.
