New Delhi, February 4, 2024, – Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Saturday that the government is gearing up to organize ‘Startup Mahakumbh,’ a groundbreaking three-day exhibition of startups across diverse domains. The event is scheduled to take place from March 18 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.

Addressing the media following the conclusion of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Goyal described ‘Startup Mahakumbh’ as the “largest get-together of startups, unicorns, soon to be unicorns, all under one roof, showcasing the India story – the story of our youth, talent, technology, innovation, and spirit of inquiry.”
Goyal emphasized the significance of this event, asserting that it would be the “largest event for startups.” India, being the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem, will leverage this platform to exhibit its entrepreneurial prowess on a global scale.

The recent success of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, a three-day auto show organized by the Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with industry bodies, set the stage for ‘Startup Mahakumbh.’ This expo, held from February 1 to 3 at Bharat Mandapam, focused on positioning India as a global mobility hub.
Simultaneously, the 5th edition of ACMA Automechanika New Delhi unfolded with over 500 exhibitors from India and 12 other countries, adding to the overall vibrancy of the expo. Goyal highlighted the active participation of more than 1,000 exhibitors, including “over 100 startups” at the Bharat Mobility Show.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the event on Day 2, personally interacting with 10 startups, reaffirming the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Looking ahead, the government is set to organize a 4-day Textile Show from February 26 to 29 at Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi complexes, aiming to showcase the strength and capabilities of the textile industry.
