10 March 2024 – Indian private rocket company, Agnikul Cosmos, is set to launch its Agnibaan rocket on a pioneering sub-orbital mission by the end of March, pending official approval. The mission, Agnibaan SOrTeD (SubOrbital Technological Demonstrator), is scheduled for a window between March 22 and March 28 from its launch pad within the premises of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) rocketport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
Agnikul Cosmos Private Ltd, founded by Srinath Ravichandran, is making strides in the space sector. The company’s rocket, Agnibaan, is a versatile two-stage vehicle capable of transporting payloads of up to 300 kg to heights of 700 km.
