How Noise maintained steady revenue
Gurugram-based gadget and wearables brand Noise maintained steady revenue year-on-year. The company’s revenue from operations grew a modest 0.4% to Rs 1,431 crore in FY24, compared to Rs 1,426 crore in FY23.
During FY24, Noise announced its maiden funding from global audio giant Bose. Led by Gaurav Khatri, the firm raised $10 million in a strategic round at a valuation of $460 million.
This positive outlook on EBITDA isn’t surprising, as most gadget companies, like Boat, tend to maintain a similar stance.
Why Noise cost of materials is high
For Noise, the cost of materials was a major cost centre, accounting for 67.7% of its overall expenditure. Employee benefits grew significantly by 53% to Rs 78 crore in FY24, which included Rs 6 crore in ESOP costs.
How much noise spent in marketing
Data shows that Noise spent Rs 286 crore on marketing and advertising. Additional expenses such as warranty, freight, legal, and other overheads pushed their overall expenditure to Rs 1,460 crore this year.
