23 March 2024 – The chipmaker turned AI superpower Nvidia has revealed a new platform named Project GR00T, short for Generalist Robot 00 Technology. The firm calls it the general-purpose basis model for humanoid robots’ ‘ Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told CNBC that humanoid robots can change manufacturing. The new Nvidia tech will help robot producers create and produce humanoid robots.
NVIDIA designed an AI platform for premier humanoid robot businesses such as 1X Technologies, Agility Robotics, Apptronik, Boston Dynamics, Figure AI, Fourier Intelligence, Sanctuary AI, Unitree Robotics, and XPENG Robotics.
The corporation does not list Tesla. Project GR00T robots will mimic human motions and interpret natural language to travel, adapt, and interact with the actual environment as they develop coordination, skill, and other abilities. Jonathan Hurst, cofounder and chief robot officer of Agility Robotics, said modern AI would expedite development, allowing robots like Digit to serve humans in many parts of everyday life.
