Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe, Discusses Creating AI Models, Creating Genai Standards, and More

28 March 2024 – According to CEO Shantanu Narayen, Adobe is working with its clients, partners, and other businesses to create comprehensive industry standards for generative artificial intelligence (AI). The action is being taken in response to rising concerns about possible exploitation and misuse of this emerging technology. “Considering responsible innovation should not come second to any of our technological achievements.

At Adobe Summit, the company’s digital experience conference, on March 26, Narayen said, “We’re working to combat misinformation by advocating for widespread adoption of Content Credentials as an industry standard for establishing trust in all of the digital content that’s being created.”

It was created by the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), a group of more than 2,500 people that includes academics, NGOs, media and IT firms, and other stakeholders. In 2019, the New York Times, Adobe, and Twitter (now X) launched the community.

Conclusion

The Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), a cross-industry open standards development consortium co-founded by Adobe and a number of significant media and technology companies, including Microsoft, Intel, Arm, BBC, and Truepic in 2021, is responsible for developing and maintaining the open technical specification that serves as the foundation for the technology.
