Sridhar Vembu, Ceo Of Zoho, Founds Mechatronics Startup Karuvi And Enters The Manufacturing Of Power Tools

11 April 2024 – Sridhar Vembu, CEO and co-founder of SaaS unicorn Zoho, announced the launch of Karuvi, his company’s newest endeavor. Along with other mechanical systems, this Chennai-based mechatronics business plans to design and produce power tools for both home and commercial use. With roots in Tamil, the term “Karuvi” means “instrument” or “tool.”

Vembu disclosed in an X post that Karuvi’s journey started with the formation of a tiny engineering team about two years ago. A variety of power tools that are prepared for mass production have been developed by the startup after many iterations and improvements. Notably, Karuvi is preparing to build a factory in Tenkasi, which is Zoho’s headquarters, implying possible connections between the two organizations.

Presently, Karuvi offers a range of products for both home and commercial use, including saws, rotary hammers, corded and cordless drills, and angle grinders. Additionally, the company’s website teases future batteries, hand tools, and accessory possibilities, providing a full range of options for customers.

Conclusion

Choosing an offline sales strategy, Karuvi will strive to reach a wide range of consumers by building a network of experts and accredited dealers who share its vision for the technology-enabled power tool industry. The plan is in line with the business’s objective of providing the market with accurate and cutting-edge machine equipment.
