08th May 2024 – Rajasthan has joined the startup ecosystem race with the launch of TiE Smashup 2024, following recent events in Delhi, Odisha, Gujarat, Kerala, J&K, and other states. This flagship event, now in its 8th edition, offers startups a unique opportunity to directly connect with over 25 institutional investors from across India.
TiE Smashup 2023, supported by the Rajasthan Government’s Istart program, saw significant success. Five startups secured funding, including Yes Madam (Rs 75 lakhs), Boba Bhai (Rs 50 lakhs), Strangify (USD 60,000), Headfox Innovation Pvt. Ltd. (Rs 50 lakhs), and Cellverse Pvt. Ltd. (Rs 50 lakhs).
Dr. Sheenu Jhawar, TiE Rajasthan President, emphasized the event’s impact on the state’s startup ecosystem, calling it a national brand. TiE Smashup provides startups with visibility and attracts attention from global venture capitalists.
Following their success at TiE Rajasthan 2023, Boba Bhai raised substantial seed funding of Rs 12.5 crores at a valuation of Rs 50 crores. Other startups like Yes Madam, My Body Affairs, and Hexpression also found success on Shark Tank India.
Several startups, including InfraHive (Aivinya), Caldor Health Technologies, Garaaz (Svan Autotech Pvt. Ltd.), and The Loom Art, achieved milestones after participating in the Smashup event.
