20th May 2024 – The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (eDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi recently concluded the first season of Venture Studio, an entrepreneurship course aimed at nurturing budding entrepreneurs among the institute’s students. Conducted in collaboration with IIT Delhi alumni, the program attracted over 350 registrations, from which 40 students were selected based on their passion and drive for entrepreneurship.
Venture Studio Season-I provided participants with a comprehensive curriculum covering essential aspects of startup development, including ideation, market research, business model development, funding strategies, product development, marketing, and scaling. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies, and interactive discussions, students gained valuable insights and practical skills crucial for navigating the startup ecosystem.
The eight-week program featured sessions led by experienced entrepreneurs turned mentors, guiding students through the intricacies of startup creation and growth. The culmination of Venture Studio was Pitch Day, where selected students presented their startup ideas to a panel of distinguished alumni, including prominent figures from the venture capital industry. This provided students with an opportunity to showcase their learning and receive feedback on their ventures.
The inclusion of a question round following each pitch allowed the panel to gain a deeper understanding of the students’ ideas and aspirations for their startups.
Venture Studio’s inaugural season was hailed as a success, underscoring IIT Delhi’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial talent and providing students with the resources and support needed to embark on their startup journey.
