13th March 2024: At Bangalore Creative Circus‘ ‘Bridging Gaps to Emerging Solutions’ event, around 30 women ecopreneurs presented their green projects. The #GreenHustlers initiative and Bharat Climate Startup hosted a large platform for ideas that could benefit India’s Sustainable Development Goals. Investing in Women: Accelerate Progress is the global theme for International Women’s Day, and such a platform gave women-led enterprises and entrepreneurs access to opportunities. Collaboration and co-creation are essential for creativity. The space was wonderful for networking with like-minded people. The climate and sustainability field is young. If sustainability and climate action in business are to take off, we need many of these, said Sonika Choudhury, Fellow at People + AI.
Another event highlight was the fast-paced, quick presentation section, where innovative solutions were presented. Startups had to pitch their value proposition and vision in 90 seconds. The workshop tested entrepreneurs’ communication skills under duress and highlighted technically advanced solutions that will enrich India’s climate startup ecosystem. Another workshop taught participants how to communicate captivating startup stories.
