Glean Technologies Expands to Bengaluru, Plans INR 417 Cr Investment in India

7th July 2024- California-based enterprise AI startup, Glean Technologies, has launched its first office in Bengaluru, marking its entry into the Indian market. The company intends to invest up to INR 417 crore ($50 million) over the next two years to bolster its GenAI platform across the country. This move is part of Glean’s strategy to tap into India’s burgeoning AI market, targeting tech firms and large enterprises.

Glean Technologies, known for its AI platform that integrates with enterprise systems to provide internal knowledge and information, aims to triple its local workforce to 450 employees by the end of next year. The company has already powered over 1,000 AI applications across more than 100 companies globally.

Founder and CEO Arvind Jain highlighted the strategic importance of the new Bengaluru facility, which will house key functions including finance, sales, R&D, and business operations. Glean Technologies, valued at INR 18,366 crore ($2.2 billion) following a recent $200 million funding round, is optimistic about expanding its footprint in India’s tech ecosystem.

The expansion aligns with Bengaluru’s status as a leading hub for AI and software development, reflecting global tech firms’ increasing interest in India’s tech landscape. With a focus on sustainability, Glean’s new office operates on 100% renewable energy, underscoring its commitment to environmental responsibility.
