In FY 2024–2025, Adani Group Would Invest More Than Rs 1.2 Lakh Crore

18 March 2024 – According to sources cited by news agency PTI, the Adani Group intends to spend more than Rs 1.2 lakh crore across its portfolio firms in the Financial Year 2024–2025. Ports, oil, airports, commodities, cement, and the media industry will all get the funding. 

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said in December of last year that his company will make a ten-year, $100 billion investment in the switch to green energy in seven to ten years. The expected capital expenditure for the fiscal year 2024–2025 (April 2024–March 2025) is 40% more than the estimated FY24 expenditures for the portfolio. Analysts expect that during FY24, which concludes on March 31, the portfolio will have spent around $10 billion on capital expenditures.

The corporation has already committed to investing $100 billion over the next seven to ten years. According to the research, the majority of this investment will go into airports, green hydrogen, and renewable energy, all of which are rapidly expanding industries.


Conclusion

Up to 70% of the anticipated capital expenditures will be allocated to its green portfolio, which will mainly consist of green hydrogen, renewable energy, and green evacuation. The bulk of the remaining thirty percent is likely to be used for port and airport operations.
