Korean Gaming Company Hopes to Complete A $40 Million Investment in Indian Businesses

The gaming company Krafton, based in South Korea, is now wrapping up investments in a few Indian firms for up to $35–40 million (around Rs 332 crore). The company’s principal corporate developer, Nihansh Bhat, said. The organization is investigating media, entertainment, and content, as well as consumer internet companies, deep tech, and SaaS sectors, in addition to gaming projects.

A small percentage of the corpus that it will invest will go to portfolio firms that are already in operation. It has pledged to invest $150–200 million over the next two to three years, on top of its $160 million in the Indian startup scene so far. The portfolio of the firm consists of 11 businesses, including the people-finding startup Fmd and the influencer marketing platform One Impression.

In order to assist strategizing up-and-coming influencers, One Impression has developed a platform, and Krafton is allowing the business to tailor it to gaming influencers. Comparably, Find is a discreet dating service for people from smaller cities who would rather communicate over the phone in their native tongues.

Conclusion

Apart from that, Krafton has chosen two gaming firms from among the 200 submissions it received for its incubator program. The business is now narrowing down its list of potential new hires. Anuj Sahani, the Director of the Incubator project, said that one of the mentors would be Dave Curd, the creative Director of PUBG Corporation.
