02 April 2024 – Nithin Kamath, the CEO of Zerodha, entered the discussion about working from home and said that some of his staff needed help finding the remote office idea to be effective. “Since support professions need scheduled labour, remote employment is a good fit. However, it has proven harmful for decision-making, business, and technology teams, mostly because of the large gaps in distant communication, the author said in a post on X.
Kamath supported the hybrid paradigm. “The change has been dramatically positive, to say the least,” he said. In a blog post, Zerodha CTO Kailash Nad said that “specific” skill sets were required for remote employment, which Kamath shared.
In his lengthy blog post, he said, “The hard lesson we learned is that effective, long-term remote work requires specific skill sets and DNA to pull off,” adding that Zerodha did not recruit anybody with the necessary abilities or characteristics to work from home.
