A New Chapter Begins India Ships Two Hal-228 Aircraft to Guyana as Part of a Credit Line

02 April 2024 – As part of the Line of Credit, India has given two Dornier-228 aircraft to Guyana, starting a new phase in the relationship between the two nations. An Indian Air Force crew travelled to Guyana to deliver the HAL-228 aircraft.

The Indian High Commission in Guyana posted on X, “High Commissioner welcomed IAF team visiting Guyana to deliver the HAL-228 aircraft as part of Line of Credit from India to Guyana.” It went on, “A new chapter in the India-Guyana partnership begins.”

The official spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, described the delivery of the aircraft as “a new chapter in the bilateral relations of the two nations.” Jaiswal declared, “A new chapter in – bilateral relations!” after meeting X. Guyana received two aeroplanes produced by @HALHQBLR. These might be useful for disaster response, medical evacuation, and linking isolated locations.


Conclusion

According to Guyana’s President, Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the aircraft touched down at Cheddi Jagan International Airport on Sunday night. “The Guyana Defence Force received two Dornier 228 aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited @HALHQBLR.
