BMW Group and Tata Technologies Are Partnering to Provide Corporate IT Solutions and Automotive Software

02 April 2024 – On Tuesday, global product engineering and digital services company Tata Technologies and German automaker BMW Group announced that they would establish a joint venture to establish an automotive software and IT development cluster in India. According to a joint statement from the two businesses, they have agreed to create a joint venture (JV) with the goal of creating an IT and automotive software development cluster in Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The primary locations for development and operations will be Bengaluru and Pune.

The statement also said that the necessary authorities must evaluate and approve the JV agreement before it can be executed.

The joint venture will provide automotive software, such as Software-defined Vehicle (SDV) solutions for the BMW Group’s luxury cars and digital transformation solutions for its corporate IT.


Conclusion

The joint venture will join the BMW Group’s worldwide network of IT centers and software. CEO and MD of Tata Technologies Warren Harris said, “Our partnership with the BMW Group demonstrates our commitment to providing top-tier solutions in automotive software and digital engineering to customers across the world.”
