Sometimes, life presents us with challenges that seem insurmountable, but there are some individuals whose determination never wavers. One such inspiring story is that of a Bangalore-based entrepreneur, founder of Bad Apples V G Shashank Reddy  who has defied all odds and built his own successful business from the ground up.

Let’s take a deeper look at his incredible journey, filled with passion, resilience, and a dream that never died as he launched Bad Apples.

The Spark of a Dream: A Glimpse into a Future of Liquor

Sha was just in 3rd grade when he actually beheld the numbers from a one-day sale his father’s elder brother made in the liquor business. The numbers were astounding-such that a lone event planted the seed that germinated his idea of doing a liquor business one day.

The idea intrigued him; it made him want to plunge much more into the world of business.

But, as a young boy, telling his dreams to anyone-among friends or family-would only end in smiles and laughter.

“You will end up having a small liquor shop” they would say and laugh at him.

They mocked him saying “he should get himself treated in a mental asylum”,little did they know this would mark just the start of a remarkable journey into the future.

From Dreams to Education: The Canada Chapter

Ambition drove him across seas to Canada, where he accomplished what most could only hope for-a green card. Everything came along with it: a chance in a new land, a bright future, and a new life ahead.

But despite all that, a voice deep within kept calling him back to India. Home had an answer for him, and he knew he would have to sacrifice the comfort of Canada to build something meaningful on his own soil and for the love of his life.

Love and Sacrifice: The Heart-Wrenching Premise

In this tough time, he fell in love and flew down to India to get married to her. But fate had some different plans for them.

Torn and shaken, he decided to use that energy and transformed it into a marketing drive for the start-up.

The Struggle: Initiating A New Beginning

There, he owned a software company, pursuing dreams for himself. Well, within the COVID-19 pandemic, he discovered that he was really ill. He didn’t quit. The journey wasn’t over yet.

To push ahead, he took a pivotal step namely – joining the government sector as a consultant. While working as a consultant also, he worked hard on weekends to establish his wine startup.

I traveled on weekends, and took every opportunity to make the most of it”, I was determined to make it happen.

Getting there was tough travel and comes with many sacrifices around the way. But he kept on keeping his sights on the larger picture while also saving whatever he could towards setting the base for the dream venture.

The Point of Turning: It is Quite an Act of Faith.

This opened the next major chapter of his life in the personal adventure of launching a liquor brand. However, he stepped from his own company because of some technical differences between the co-founders.

This was certainly a blow. The next four or five months turned out to be a long, hard slog involving much suffering, bitterness, and doubts, yet he dealt with such obstacles.

He fell off that and got himself back into the game by delving deeper into his entrepreneurial passion and didn’t stop there. All this while, a fighting spirit and perseverance now built with the next chapter of his life.

The Big Event: Making the Dream a Reality

founder of Bad Apples V G Shashank Reddy

Once a dream that was sparked even in 3rd standard, he has launched his own liquor company Bad Apples after a long and hard work of several months. The product was already ready in April 2024, and then it was all set to take the market by its launch at UB City in Bangalore m, which was a big move-it was a bold step that would change everything.

A Business Blossoming Against Odds

Today, Bad Apples is flourishing. It has a consistent revenue of 30-40 lakhs per month-just as the dream it once had in the 3rd standard would actually become a reality. Already more than 1,50,000 bottles of their product are sold, and that number keeps growing each day.

It is really a story of perseverance and love

Even after all this success, the love for that girl whom he once wanted to marry is as fresh as ever. He tried every bit of energy to prove that he could build something great though she denied him due to some constraints.

He worked really hard, not just to be successful in business, but to gain respect from those who doubted him.

His journey reminds us that it is not just to be completed with a goal but also to remain true to one’s passion and never give up, while always holding that the impossible can be made possible.
