Meet Arpit- The Man Behind Chaai Seth
Arpit Raj, the man behind this platform, was born in Bihar and currently lives in New Delhi. He is a BBA graduate in Hospitality and Travel and Tourism. He further pursued an MBA in marketing. During his graduation days, he dreamt of starting something of his own to reach new heights of success.
From the beginning, Arpit was determined and passionate about establishing his brand’s name in the industry and successfully achieved it in a short period. His venture has gained popularity in recent years because of the quality of food and beverages sold.
The Beginning of The Successful Journey
It all began in 2015 when Arpit studied in Shillong to pursue his graduation degree. After spending the whole day studying, at his college, he spent some time with his friends at night exploring new places. Since Shillong’s weather is always cold, they always felt the need to have something warm to escape the chilly winds. It is when Arpit got the idea to start a small tea stall.
He named the stall “Chai ki Tapri ” which eventually evolved into “Chaai Seth”. He had to do multiple jobs to achieve his ultimate goal and to give his venture a strong base. Along with his friends, he did a tiffin delivery service in his hostel. When he got shifted to a flat with a bunch of his friends, they helped the landlady deliver her tiffin boxes to numerous university students.
Early Challenges
Arpit had to shut down his small venture concerning the laws of the Northeastern States. He had to leave the city after his graduation. Later, he joined a company in New Delhi but soon realised that it wasn’t his true passion. Arpit left his 9-5 job to restart his tea business in 2019. He consulted with his friends and they together found a place to establish their venture.
The success of Chaai Seth
Soon after the opening of Chaai Seth, COVID-19 hit the world and impacted the entire industry. But Arpit didn’t give up. His strong commitment and determination were the reasons his business could thrive.
At present, the company has over 47 outlets across the country. Also, the team has added a variety of snacks and fast-food items to satisfy the customers’ taste buds. Over 20 types of tea are sold at his shops. His company has an amazing turnover worth Rs 3.5 crore. He aspires to expand his business regime and open 300 outlets by the end of the year 2025.
Future Goals With The Chai
Arpit’s mission is to make this business a global one. Also, he aims to create a better place for people to hang out. In addition, the venture strives to expand its reach by opening more and more franchises.
